Laser Tube Cutting Machine

PeddiWPC

Capable of efficiently cutting large-diameter, heavy-duty, and extremely long tubes

The Cleanest Complex Cut

The PeddiWPC establishes what a true laser processing center should be. It carries the all-in-one philosophy with pride. Instead of limiting profiles to conventional holes and end cuts, this laser can produce multiparts, intricate copes, slots, notches, miters, connection details and part markings across every side of the profile with 45-degree bevel cutting for weld-ready edges. It gives fabricators the freedom to process parts based on what the project requires, not what the machine can handle.

Holding it all Together

That flexibility allows the PeddiWPC laser tube cutting machine to stand at the intersection of structural and miscellaneous steel production. Columns and large structural connections can run alongside smaller, highly detailed components without changing machines or building separate production lines. Three to Four automatic rotating chucks stabilize profiles up to 40 feet long, while automated loading, unloading and nesting keep material moving with less operator handling. By replacing manual layout, sawing, drilling, coping and grinding with one clean laser-cut process, the PeddiWPC does more than improve tube production, it gives the entire shop a faster, more versatile path from raw material to fit-up.

Laser Cutting Head

The PeddiWPC employs a specialized fiber laser cutting head tailored specifically for cutting of steel profiles. This laser is equipped with a 0-contact automatic height tracking system which enables the cutting head to adjust its height automatically in response to deviations in material without affecting cutting performance, enhancing response speed and processing efficiency.

Robust Machine Frame

The rigid machine base crafted from high-quality steel plate undergoes a meticulous secondary aging treatment to guarantee the machine’s shock resistance and stability.

Automatic Clamping Rotating Chucks

In order to ensure smooth and continuous production, material is clamped and stabilized by three automatically rotating chucks. Each individual chuck operates with four claws designed to self-center in pairs without interference. The roller mechanism of the claws enables the rotation of the material as needed for laser cutting on all sides.

Chain Loading and Unloading System

The PeddiWPC’s loading system consists of a conveyor chain, positioning baffle, and support system. When loading the machine, material is first placed onto the conveyor chain. The conveyor system then transports the material to the baffle for positioning. Once positioned, the support system holds the material in place for the chuck to grip it. Once clamped and stabilized, material is advanced toward the laser cutting head for processing. Finished pieces are then transported via the unloading conveyor chain to the designated unloading area.

Dust Filtration and Collection System

The dust collector unit functions to extract harmful dust created from the laser cutting process. When polluted air enters the unit under the strong suction of the turbine fan, it encounters a disruption in airflow. Heavier dust particles settle out and drop into a collection area, removing them immediately. As the remaining fine dust particles enter the dust filter chamber, they stick to the filter’s surface. Filtered clean air passes through the air chamber to be expelled through an exhaust pipe.

Control System

Control of the PeddiWPC is carried out by a modern CNC control unit. The intuitive and easy-to-use interface allows for real-time control of laser cutting processes via Smart Manager Software at your fingertips.

Laser-Crafted Success: Customer Journeys

Tebbens Steel
Many of our projects have 5x5x1/2” square tube cross bracing with three shear tabs that are sliced through the tube. Getting these fabricated can be a time-consuming task, with the tube laser we have gone from two hours prep time to 15 - 20 min tube prep time, and no cleaning, we timed it! The best part is our fabrication team trusts what the tube laser is cutting and has embraced it fully. This machine is one in our arsenal that has become a game changer for us.
